About Brooke
Brooke Richards is a graduate of the Seacoast Career Schools Massage Therapy program. This is a
900 hour accredited program of which Brooke finished with a 4.0 GPA while also working full-time as
a Pharmacy Technician. Her passion is helping others and this is why she was a psychology major at
the University of New England and also worked several years with individuals with disabilities.
Brooke lives in Southern Maine with her husband and three children. Much of her free time is spent with
family and close friends. She loves to be outdoors camping, fishing, gardening, and riding bikes.
Why Brooke loves being a Massage Therapist
There is nothing more rewarding in life than helping someone else, at least that is how Brooke feels. Having
someone say “You are gifted”, “That was the most amazing back work”, or “That was wonderful”
really puts a smile on her face.
This world is filled with so many stressful situation that tax both our minds and our bodies. If she can
help even one person with their pain, be it mind, body or both, than she would feel accomplished.
What Brooke offers
Swedish Massage : A general relaxation massage with stress reduction benefits. Sessions range from ½ to 1 and
1/2 hour sessions.
Therapeutic Massage: Including trigger point therapy, neuromuscular therapy, and myofascial release. The
purpose of these sessions is to treat an individuals condition such as chronic back pain. Body pain can be alleviated
through varying forms of massage. Brooke's goal with these sessions is to help the client to find the most beneficial
treatment for maximum long-term pain relief.
Hot Stone Therapy : In these sessions basalt stones are heated and utilized as an extension of Brooke's own hands
to increase overall relaxation. There is also a deeper and greater effect on muscular tension.
This is can be beneficial for conditions such as fibromyalgia.
Chair Massage: Generally sessions last 10-20 minutes with focus being on the client's head, upper body, and arms.
The chair massage can be done in the office, in the clients home, or in a business setting.
Reiki: A Japanese technique for relaxation and stress reduction that also promotes healing.
Discounts are given to health care workers, those in the military, and veterans.
